Each and
everyone these days is equally prone to getting a heart disease because of most
of them leading the lifestyle that they are which is also termed as
"sedentary" which includes consumption of high amounts of fast food
and lack of any kind of physical exercise. Several types of heart diseases are
there which are as follows:
Myocardial Infarction- Myocardial Infarction which is also known as "heart
attack" is very rampant among people. Some of the symptoms of heart attack
are heaviness and pain in and around the chest area and in the arms; pain in
jaw, throat and the back; excessive sweating and dizziness; irregular
breathings and heart beats, etc. There is also a type of heart attack which is
termed as silent Myocardial Infarction which occurs mostly in diabetics where
there are no probable signs or symptoms.
Arrhythmia- This is the condition during which the heart beats with an
irregular rhythm and some of its symptoms includes discomfort in the chest,
palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, breathlessness, etc. There are several types
of arrhythmia and some of them can be very serious often leading to a sudden
cardiac arrest in someone. The arrhythmia which mostly is the cause of a
cardiac arrest is ventricular fibrillation which causes the ventricles to quiver
due to rapid electrical impulses thus ceasing the pumping action of the heart.
Ventricular Fibrillation is a shockable heart rhythm. The best way that someone
can deal with a cardiac emergency situation involving someone else is by
properly applying the indispensable Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation procedures.
The procedures comprises of chest compressions and rescue breathings and proper
administration of the procedures can revive the life of a cardiac arrest
victim. It is always advisable for someone to go for an accredited training
center for a CPR training program such as the AHA accredited CPR Louisville
which conducts various CPR programs. At the end of a particular program expect
to receive an AHA provider card. In the CPR classes itself training in how to
use the AED devices are imparted to the students.
AED'S are
mainly used for the process of defibrillation which involves application of
electric shocks to the chest of a cardiac arrest victim which can normalize the
heart rhythm provided the rhythm is a shockable one such as ventricular
fibrillation and thus stabilize the victim's condition. Just because most
cardiac arrest occurs due to ventricular fibrillation being the arrhythmia
which is a shockable rhythm, it is just a matter of time that someone gets hold
of an AED device and uses it on the victim thus leading to the victim's
survival.
Coronary Artery Disease- The main symptom of a coronary
artery disease is severe chest pain the medical term for which is
"angina" and apart from this the other symptoms includes nauseating
feeling, fast heartbeats, sweating, dizziness, etc.
