Why every restaurant and store should have an AED

In modern day fast life, everybody is busy in some or other ways and hardly has any time to care for their health. People living in the technically advanced life are facing several health challenges that include both physical and mental stress. Physical stress is mainly caused by bad food habits, lack of nutrition, eating fast food, self-administered medicines, and lack of physical exercise. Mental stress is mainly caused by lack of self introspection, lack of personal time, relationship hazards, death in family, loss of job, and family disturbances. The major effect on health results in heart ailments and several respiratory troubles. In USA, heart problem is the main reason of maximum human death. Different health troubles like diabetes, thyroid disorder, obesity, and hypertension give fuel to poor heart health.

American Heart Association (AHA) has therefore taken a great initiative to spread awareness about heart and lung health and taken steps to train general people, business owners, students, healthcare providers, and senior citizens about cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other associated basic life support (BLS) and first aid techniques. Focus has also been given on training staffs of hotels, restaurants, pubs, departmental stores, medicine stores, and other places where general people gather in crowd for different purposes. Imagine a person falling ill and losing consciousness in a restaurant while eating or waiting for the food to be served.  If the restaurant manager or other staffs have already attended CPR class in Louisville then any of them can take this person aside and perform CPR with AED so that the person can be saved from sudden death and chances can be created to be able to provide him further medical treatment in hospital. Likewise in every store, there is a necessity for some CPR trained staffs who can really take care of such emergency situations at their store in saving their customer’s life. This will also increase the popularity of the stores and restaurants and other public places that can add value to the lives of the people visiting those places.

Presence of CPR trained staffs in stores and restaurants will not suffice in helping people suffering from cardiac arrest or respiratory trouble survive.  There must be at least an AED installed in these places to help the staffs understand whether defibrillation is required to provide to the victim. If AED is required then only CPR performances and oral breathing cannot ensure chance of survival of the sufferer.

While the storeowners and restaurant owners must keep an AED in their business places, it is also necessary for them to motivate their staffs to achieve BLS certification in Louisville for the sake of customers’ safety.  CPR Louisville provides basic life support class, HeartSaver CPR training and HeartSaver First Aid Class for these staffs. Each class is certified by American Heart Association. Training institutes arrange for CPR classes with an arrangement of hands on training with stress free approach. People requiring advanced classes can also apply for the same if the eligibility criteria matches with the norm of the institution. CPR classes in Louisville in Kentucky also include HeartSaver First Aid and HeartSaver CPR training.
